Privacy policy
Last updated June 2026
Shadow Edge Tools LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“Shadow Edge Tools”, “we”, “us”), is the controller of personal data collected through this site and respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: privacy@shadowedgetools.com.
What we collect
- Order data — when you buy, Stripe processes the payment and shares your name, email, billing country, and order details with us so we can fulfill and support your order.
- License activation — to license your purchase we record the email address on your NinjaTrader account and your activation status, used solely to provision and enforce your license.
- Lead and early-access requests — when you join a notification, beta, or early-access list, we collect the email you enter, optional name, product interest, optional note, page URL, UTM/source fields, a consent timestamp, and basic request metadata, so we can respond and send emails you asked to receive.
- Usage, cookies, and advertising — like most sites, we and our analytics/advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to measure traffic and marketing. This can include Google (analytics and ads), the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, and the TikTok Pixel, which set cookies and receive certain event, page, and device/browser data when you visit. See Cookies & advertising below.
What we do not collect
- Your trades, trading account, P&L, or any broker data.
- Your NinjaTrader credentials.
- Anything our software does on your charts — discipline data stays local to your machine.
- Your credit-card or bank details — Stripe handles payment; we never see or store them.
Cookies & advertising
We use essential cookies to make the site work, analytics cookies to measure usage, and advertising cookies/pixels (Google, Meta, TikTok) to measure and serve our marketing. These advertising partners may receive information about your visit and combine it with data they already hold.
We do notsell your personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies and pixels may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under some privacy laws (such as the California CCPA). You can control or refuse cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising through tools like your Google Ads settings, your Meta ad preferences, and your device's ad controls. Before we load any non-essential (analytics or advertising) cookies, we ask for your choice with a cookie banner — nothing tracking loads until you accept — and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in our footer.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the business:
- Stripe — payment and order processing.
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Email/notification provider — to deliver support and form notifications.
- NinjaTrader Ecosystem — to provision your product license against your NinjaTrader account.
- Analytics & advertising — Google, Meta, and TikTok, as described above.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. Shadow Edge Tools LLC is the seller of record. We never see or store your credit-card or bank details.
Data retention
We keep order and license data for as long as needed to support your license and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We keep lead and early-access data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live — for example under the CCPA in California or the GDPR in the EU/UK — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your data, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@shadowedgetools.com and we will respond as required by law.
Email and forms
Product notification and beta forms send us a support notification and may sync the request into our internal marketing-ops lead list. We require consent before adding an address to marketing email workflows, and every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Updates
If this policy changes materially, we will update the “last updated” date at the top and notify customers by email when appropriate.
