How do I install a Shadow Edge Tools add-on?+
In NinjaTrader 8, go to Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On, then select the .zip file we email you after purchase. Restart NinjaTrader, then add the indicator or strategy from the chart's right-click menu.
Where do I get NinjaTrader or market data?+
Start with the platform setup page for the NinjaTrader download link, Kinetick market data option, and install order. Some platform links are affiliate links. How does activation work — is there a license key?+
There's no key to paste. Your tools license directly to your NinjaTrader account. After purchase, send us the email on your NinjaTrader account from the order confirmation page and we'll email your download and activate you — usually within a few hours. Can't find your payment receipt? Search your inbox and spam for 'Stripe' or 'Shadow Edge Tools'.
It says 'a license is required' but I already bought it — what now?+
Your license is valid — this is almost always a temporary Windows certificate-check glitch at NinjaTrader startup, not a problem with your order. Fully restart NinjaTrader first (Control Center → Exit, then reopen). If it persists, make sure Windows Update is current (leave automatic root-certificate updates enabled), run 'certutil -urlcache * delete' in PowerShell, and restart once more. Still stuck? Email us the NinjaTrader log (Help → Mail to Tech Support) and we'll sort it fast.
Can I use it on more than one machine?+
Your license is tied to your NinjaTrader account, so you can run the tools on the machines signed in to that account for personal use. Got a setup we haven't covered? Email us and we'll work it out.
Will it work with my prop firm?+
It runs entirely inside your local NinjaTrader 8 instance and uses standard bracket orders. It is compatible with prop firms that allow NinjaTrader add-ons and automated bracket orders — Apex, MyFundedFutures, Topstep, TradeDay, FTMO, and most others. Confirm your firm's current automation policy before live use, and email us before you buy if your firm has a specific restriction.
